Sparhawk-Jones, Elizabeth

(1885-1968)

Born in Balitimore, Maryland and later active in New York, Philadelphia, and Paris where she lived for several years. A book on her life, Elizabeth Sparhawk-Jones: The Artist Who Lived Twice, was written by Barbara Leham Smith in 2010. She also employed an unusual technique of watercolor on canvas. She did some of them on parachute canvas acquired from the Wright brothers.
