This interesting composition painted "a grisaille" was done in conjunction with the lithograph of the same name. It is painted in reverse but maintains a close similarity to it. It is signed "Dem" and dated '36 lower right. Provenance: Thomas Hart and Rita Benton collection (Please note that it is being sold as a pair with the lithograph.)
