Coleman, Howard Cook, Mabel Dwight, Don Freeman, Isac Friedlander, Wanda Gag, Martin Lewis, Louis Lozowick, Harry Mack, Kyra Markham, Angelo Pinto, John Sloan, Raphael Soyer,(EARLY HAND COLORED LITHOGRAPHS), Benton Spruance, and Grant Wood. This select show at the Flint Institute of Arts offers collectors in Southeast Michigan and beyond to see several national dealers with a selection of prints from old masters to contemporary. As always, we will have large offerings of American scene and New York City prints of the 1930’s and 1940’s with important work by artists such as Avery, Bacon, Cadmus, Cook, Curry, Dwight, Gag, Gwathmey, Kent, Leighton, Martin Lewis, Lozowick, Marsh, Nesbitt, Nichols, Sloan, and their contemporaries. In all we will be bringing well over 1000 prints. We will also feature works by contemporary artists Kate Hanlon and Karen Whitman. African-American images and artists is also a specialty and we will have a large selection of this work.
